Registration & Payment

The participant must make all bookings by e-mail. It is important to include with the booking request the reservation form (with all the requested data).

SENDEROS NATIVOS will confirm your booking request after having received the 50% of the total cost of the trip. The balance 50% is due 30 days prior to trip departure. If the total payment does not arrive at the established time, we will be obliged to cancel all services, and we will not refund, retaining it as cancellation cost.

Prices quoted are based per person in US Dollar. Prices are subject to change without notice in case of important variation in the USD exchange rate.

Cancellation

Land cancellation fees:
• 45 to 30 days prior to departure: 25 % of land cost is non-refundable.
• 29 to 15 days prior to departure: 50 % of land cost is non-refundable.
14 to 0 days prior to departure: 100% non-refundable.

In case of reimbursement, Senderos Nativos will refund to the client the total amount (or part of it as mentioned above) detracting the bank fees. No refunds on no-shows or unused portions of trips.

Flight cancellation fees:
We can book domestic flights. When the domestic flights are booked, paid and issued, flight cost is non-refundable.

Special cancellation fees:
In some occasions (some cruises or hotels etc.) the cancellation policy of the provider will be applied, replacing the general conditions of Senderos Nativos.

What is and what is not included

The details of each program specify what items and services are included and those that are Not included.

If the hotels mentioned in the programs are not available, they will be  replaced with similar ones (of the same range of prices). In some occasions, Senderos Nativos might have to book more expensive hotels (for example due to the lack of availability). The price difference between the hotel mentioned in the program and the confirmed one has to be paid by the client.

In addition an equipment list is included, please check it before the booking. If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Each participant is responsible for checking whether the airport tax is included at the moment of the booking of international flights.

Obligations of the participants

The participant is responsible for obtaining all the necessary documents for the trip (passport, visa, travel insurance, etc…). The participant must contact the appropriate offices (embassy, consulate, etc…) of the documents they require for entry into each country they are visiting.

The participant is required to have a valid passport for all trips. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the completion date of the trip, and must have sufficient blank pages for all necessary travel visas and appropriate entry/exit stamps.

The participant has to respect the rules, the laws & the environment of any places visited during the trip. Certain national parks have special regulations so we ask you to ask your guides for information before making any alteration to the environment or taking pictures of local populations. We all need to respect nature and culture to keep our dreams alive.

Some of SENDEROS NATIVOS’s trips may involve travel in remote places and area where living standards, practices, and the provision of utilities, services and accommodation are different than those available at home. Participants are exclusively responsible for choosing a trip that best suits their interests, abilities, fitness level and health.

The participant is responsible for his personal equipment. He needs to have the appropriate equipment for the trip.

In case of domestic flights, the participant has to respect the weight limits (normally 20kg/pers – sometimes 10kg/pers). Any additional weight will be charged to the participant directly by the airline. The participant must respect the decision, instruction, rules of our guide (s). The participant must communicate his wishes and/or difficulties to our staff (please inform us on time). Our guides are very often the only people who can really help you. Please do not wait till the end of the tour to make your comments or suggestions, or talk about what you feel, need or wish.

Responsibility & Liability

SENDEROS NATIVOS does not assume responsibility for any injury, death, loss, delay, inconvenience, damage to personal property in connection with the provision of any goods of services whether resulting from, but not limited to, acts of God or force majeure, illness, disease, government restrictions, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of services, food poisoning, mechanical or other failure of aircraft or other means of transportation or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive on depart time.

SENDEROS NATIVOS is not responsible for error or omission of any suppliers (such as accommodations, transportation company, ….). We shall not be responsible for lack of availability in the hotels, lodges, refuges, camps requested by the client. In such cases we will try to place the client in alternative accommodation of the same level, without taking any responsibility for the client’s lack of satisfaction with the alternative accommodations.

SENDEROS NATIVOS does not assume responsibility: for any accident, death or personal injuries that could result from clients careless acts. We offer outdoor physical activities and contact with nature, involving some level of risk that are out of our control.

Our programs do not include travel insurance. We strongly recommend that you purchase a medical and travel insurance policy in your home country that covers any cost of possible cancellation from your part of your holidays, of accidents (cost of repatriation in case of illness or accident) and loss of luggage. We insist on the fact that in case of accident, we bear no responsibility for medical expenses or expenses of any other kind. It is the responsibility of the participant to contract a medical and travel insurance before departure that covers all such eventualities. If the participant does not contract such insurance, we can, at clients’ expenses, arrange medical treatment or emergency evacuation service if deemed essential for clients’ safety.

We are not responsible in case of loss or theft luggage or personal belongings.

We can offer assistance in case of accident, loss of luggage, …. Please note that all additional costs will be charged directly to the participant.

If during the trip, the participant requests a change of itinerary for personal reasons, SENDEROS NATIVOS will try to accommodate the client’s wishes. However the additional cost will be charged to the participant and no refunds can be given for activities already booked or organized and then not undertaken.

SENDEROS NATIVOS reserves the right to withdraw, alter or otherwise modify any trips, itineraries, specific programs, activities when it is deemed necessary or to your advantage.

During the program, SENDEROS NATIVOS (our guide(s)) can terminate the participation of a member of the group if he/she believes that person’s health is at risk, if an illegal act is committed, or their behavior becomes detrimental to the safety, enjoyment or well-being of the group. No refunds will be given.

SENDEROS NATIVOS cannot be held responsible for financial losses due to the imposition of a charge by airline carriers on partially or totally non-refundable tickets.

SENDEROS NATIVOS will inform the participant about the cancellation of the program as soon as possible and will offer him/her the possibility to modify the booking to an alternative tour. If the participant refuses this possibility, any money received by SENDEROS NATIVOS from the participant for that tour or expedition will be refunded.

If the required minimum of participants is not reached on fixed departures, SENDEROS NATIVOS will subject to 60 days warning, either cancel the departure, offer a full refund, or apply a supplement subject to participant approval.

SENDEROS NATIVOS programs are available to anyone in good health and in good physical shape. Participants do not have to be tri-athletes, but some of our programs require some reasonable physical effort. Participants should refer to the specifics of each program to determine suitability. For mountaineering expeditions, we cannot guarantee that the participant will reach the summit. Our guide (s) can decide to cancel a summit attempt for the safety of the group. Participants have to respect the guide’s choice and decision. No refunds will be given.

It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that SENDEROS NATIVOS. is advised, at the time of booking, of any and all material medical problems or issues related to the participant.

SENDEROS NATIVOS reserves the right to take photographic or film records of any of its trips, and to use such photographic or film records for promotional and/or commercial purposes.
